It's a race...

Out of 200 million sperm, only fifty of them can reach to the egg.
Usually only one of them is the winner.
It's a race from the very early beginning.

Cloning may not be a good idea always?!

Thanks to Dr. Schon for the cartoon idea!

"Cloning" is a fancy word...
and also sounds very cool...
but may be not always.

Gene discovery

While everyday reading articles and busy with genes, this discovery drawing popped up as a cartoon idea.
Some genes are like celebrity guys, while more and more people are doing  research on a specific gene and naturally the number of publications are increasing accordingly for that gene of interest, on the other side some genes get a few attention and this reflects to number of articles immediately.

Wanted!

Not always criminals are wanted ones, sometimes some genes are as well:)

Principal Investigator

While I was a student and working on the bench, doing experiments on mice and rats. I had been thinking about the frequency of the experiments versus the life expectancy of each mouse in the animal house :)...
Actually I was inspired this cartoon, while I was dissecting them in those years.

Anyways...since I decided to have my science in silico, life is less complicated:)
I always have an option for an "undo" button.

Rapunzel

"Rapunzel" is one of the stories that I liked when I was a child...and I still do.
In the modern times perhaps Rapunzel would let down her DNA...who knows?!

Is your genome published?

What about you? Did you publish your genome...?

"ACTG" another kind of language?

One of the cool progress in the recent years is development of interdisciplinary fields. Such as computational biology. There are other fields as well, and interdisciplinary approaches open new doors in science.

Is it computational?

Computational solutions to physiological problems...or combination of both.
In other words translational medicine is becoming one of the favorite topics..

Arsenic DNA

I don't know...if we say, "new guys in town", is it fine?
More options?
Arsenic DNA,...or as one of my friend suggested what about "silicon DNA"
or...?

Genome Jungle

This is a different type of jungle, and it is too complicated. We are trying to catch them, before they catch us in this jungle...
